Meet the photographer
I'm a fine art equine photographer based in the NW Chicago Suburbs. I work with horse owners who want images that feel honest, artistic, and true to the horse they know so well.
My work is shaped by years in professional breeding and racing environments, where reading behavior and managing pressure matter as much as the work itself. I recognize the difference between a horse that's truly relaxed and one that's simply tolerating what's happening.
I started riding at seven, competed in dressage through my teens with my soul mare, and studied equine science in college. During school, I took extensive hands-on courses (where I met my now-retired OTTB gelding, Boogie, as a weanling!), as well as worked at an Arabian breeding farm. After graduation, I moved to Lexington where I worked as assistant manager at a Thoroughbred breeding farm, and later moved to NY to work in horse racing where I was given the opportunity to travel around the world and meet the most incredible horse people just like you.

Photography came later. The horse-first approach did not.
When I photograph your horse, I'm watching for subtle shifts in attention, comfort, and expression. If your horse is opinionated, distracted, or a little unpredictable, that doesn't worry me, those moments often lead to the most meaningful images.
The goal isn't to make your horse perform a set routine. It's to create space for them to be themselves, so the images feel like something you recognize.
You'll walk away with fine art portraits worthy of framing and candid moments that feel unmistakably like your horse. The kind of photographs that make you say, yes, that's them.
